Arielle Scavnicky
Owner and Instructor
The Cleveland Grooming Academy was established in 2015 by Arielle Scavnicky, who is the owner and instructor of all available courses. Arielle has more than 13 years of experience from working in corporate, private, and veterinarian based salons. She is an Nationally Certified Master Groomer and active member of the National Dog Groomers Association of America (NDGAA), International Judges Association (IJA), and is President of the Ohio Professional Pet Groomers Association (OPPGA). Arielle is also both cat and dog CPR and first aid certified through PetTech.
The Cleveland Grooming Academy's mission is to provide high quality grooming lessons to new groomers while always putting the health and safety of each beloved pet first. The Complete Basic Grooming Course taught by Arielle is the longest grooming course available in all of Northern Ohio.
Lyric
Office Manager
Lyric has been with the Cleveland Grooming Academy since early 2023. She currently handles all phone calls, scheduling appointments, and questions regarding enrolling in our school. Lyric has always loved animals, especially large breed dogs like Mastiffs and Rottweilers.
Lyric currently works remotely from Macksburg OH, and is a stay a home mother of two beautiful daughters, Eva Lynn (4 years old) and Reese Rae (2 years old). Make sure to say "Hi." if you hear them! :)

We will take extra time with any pet to make every grooming experience a pleasant one. Pets are never left unattended unless they are in a secure kennel. All students are under the constant supervision of both instructors.

All pets are kept separate from one another, and never have nose-to-nose contact. The only exception are pets from the same family.

We use only the highest quality shampoos, conditioners, and products on all serviced pets. Our shampoos are enriched with natural oils and aromatics to help maintain skin PH, and keep all coats silky smooth!

All pets are 100% hand dried with each groom and bath. We also have non-heated cage dryers for pets who need an extra slow air flow to keep calm.

Our school is cleaned between each pet, and thoroughly at the end of each night. This ensures each student learns proper salon etiquette.

Our students learn how to properly execute haircuts ranging from shave downs to full hand scissors. Even though they are learning, our students provide high quality haircuts similar to ones available in competing salons.
